L'aigle à deux têtes des Habsbourg apparaît sur le drapeau derrière elle. Né à Amsterdam, Jan Muller a probablement appris la gravure auprès de son père, Harman Muller, graveur et éditeur. Il s'est rendu en Italie dans les années 1590 et s'est probablement arrêté à Prague en cours de route. Là, il réalisa des estampes basées sur des dessins d'artistes employés à la cour des Habsbourg, dont Bartholomeaux Spranger (1546-1611).
